It has certainly been a while since my last post– in fact it has been over a month and a half!
To catch you all up to speed, I basically set myself 3 goals in my last update in regards to how I was going to overcome the winter blues:
. Day/nightime activities
Well, as you probably already noticed self-reflection didn’t really happen at all, ergo why it’s been over a month and half since my last blog post. I said I would write a self-reflection/progress update post once a week during November (my least favourite month of the year).
Why didn’t I get around to it? Well, I could say it’s because I’ve been really busy (which I have), but it’s really because I haven’t wanted to face where my thoughts are at. My mind’s all over the place at the moment.
These past weeks/months haven’t been bad (not all of it). I’ve exercised (inconsistently but more consistently than normal) and I’ve partaken in many day/nighttime activities, I even travelled a fair amount. I’ve also been building up a lot of resentment and anxiety related to my current work place, and I’m not really in the mood to talk about that. I guess what I’m trying to say is that November/December have been all over the place for me, but I’m here now and I’m doing my best, and my best will always vary from day to day-month to month- and year to year.
I always believe that self-reflection in the form of writing is my best healing tool, and it doesn’t always have to be personal.
So, on that note, whilst I aim to find the courage within in me to explore my thought process, I will be dedicating the rest of the month as ‘best of 2017’ across several categories relating to Television and Film.
