Discovery GemZone: Make-me up in 1 strobe- 2 strokes- and 3 spritz

Hi beauties!

A tad very late on the weekly Discovery GemZone posts, but to make-up-for it, I’ll be sharing two back-to-back gems with you all 🙂

First on today’s edition, I want to share my simple yet effective on-the-go makeup look. Or, how I like to call it, the 1 strobe, 2 strokes, and 3 spritz technique.

I’ve shared my make-up routine in the past, and how I really don’t like to over complicate it mainly because I don’t feel the need to and I don’t like the feeling of having loads of different products on my face.

Lately, I’ve also been very inconsistent with my skincare routine and have had several nights of not taking my make-up off, so I’ve really tried to simplify my make-up routine even more than usual as I really want to let it breathe and not irritate more than I already have. This down-to-basics routine can also be completed in less than 30 seconds so it’s very efficient!

Here’s how to get the look (after prepping your skin with your morning skincare routine of course):

1 Strobe of Lip Gloss from the Make-Up Store

Price: £15

I love lip gloss and giving my lips a bit of a shimmer, and I particularly love this product because of its pink/nude colour. In the past I would normally go for a bold red lip, but lately I feel more inclined towards nude colours as I love creating a natural look.

I strobe some on to my bottom lip, smack them together, and bam! Lips done.

2 Strokes of Mascara from Max Factor

Price: £7.99

Mascara is so powerful because even if it were the only product you were to use on your face, it can significantly brighten your face.

What I love about this mascara is that I don’t even need to use an eyelash curler due the natural curler in the wand.

2 strokes on each lash, no eyeshadow, and eyes are set.

3 Spritz of Iconic.London’s Prep-Set-Glow

Price: £18.50

I have conflicting feelings about this product.

This illuminating spray has become all the rave amongst the blogosphere and celebrities alike, so I instantly caved and decided I needed this product myself.

I was disappointed when I first purchased it because I really could not see the ‘glow’ everyone was talking about, either than some glittery drops on my face when I stared at my face closely in the mirror.

However, there is no denying that this product does actually hydrate your face and contains a lot of boastful and enriching ingredients to keep your face healthy, such as Vitamin E. It also helps set your make-up.

I spritz this product on my face 3 times after doing my make-up, and I feel refreshed, hydrated, and my skin feels a lot healthier, which is ultimately what I’m after!
