You wake up and you feel drained and unrested. You then proceed to check yourself in the mirror, and your face appears dull, dehydrated, and equally as unrested as you’re feeling in the inside.
We’ve all had those days where we feel like our faces need a pick-me up after a rough night’s sleep. Whether it be because of lack of it, sleeping in awkward positions, or carrying anxiety through from the previous day, it is not uncommon for this to take a toll on our skin.
Here are my favourite hero products that come to the rescue when I want my face to have that beauty sleep glow:
Falling within the £45 pound range, these masks are perfect for ad-hoc use when your face is after some much needed rest and relaxation.
Exuviance’s mask is perfect for a quick and hassle free solution. Spread the product all over your face and neck (make sure they’re damp!), and instantly, the product will start foaming and disappearing as your skin begins to absorb it, until it completely dissipates within 5 minutes. This will feel tingly, almost like ants crawling on your skin, but that’s a normal reaction and the results are worth it! Once your skin absorbs the product, give your face a quick rinse with warm water, and you will feel completely refreshed. Your face will look noticeably brighter and it creates a nice healthy glow.
Darphin’s mask is equally worth the investment, perhaps even more so, as this is a miracle worker in reducing puffiness, especially around the under eye area. The mask has a thick texture that smells wonderful and makes you feel like you’re in a spa, even if only for 10 minutes. When you rinse the mask off, it converts into a smooth milky texture that can easily be removed.
These eye patches are a great to-the rescue for the part of your face that feels most affected after a rough night, your under eye area. Besides reducing puffiness, they deliver what they state in the name of the product, and leave you feeling cool and therefore hydrated.
Pop this in your fridge overnight, and give your face a lovely refreshing morning wake-up call. I like to think of the Jade Roller as the yoga equivalent workout for my face.
I only tried this product out because it was part of my Cult Beauty goody bag, and I’m thrilled to say that I will be purchasing it once it runs out.
I particularly despise putting foundation on my face on days where I feel unrested and drained, and I now turn to this product when I want a natural glow. This product doesn’t provide coverage, but it will noticeably brighten your face and it’s very light so you don’t even realise you have it on.
